I spent the last four years coaching the Roosevelt Roughrider Girls Soccer Program. I was fortunate enough to have kids that were wonderful to work with both on and off the field. Some went on to play soccer at the next level and some just enjoyed high school athletics. The parents were, for the most part, amazing. I've absolutely enjoyed my time coaching at my alma mater for the last four years; proud of the fact that we were able to teach the game, proud that the teams, as the years went on, became more and more cohesive, proud that we made playoffs in such a tough league, and proud that our kids were a respectful representation of our school. I am grateful for the incredible support from the front office, the administration, and the parent volunteers. My assistant coaches, especially this last year, have made this program better and I know they will make an impact wherever they land (as Roughriders, perhaps?). I am stepping away to take care of my young, growing family. I will continue to support the Roughriders and can't wait to see the growth of the program in the years to come.
Thanks, everyone, for all of your support.
GO ROUGHRIDERS!
